Scientific Interest
Our team is studying the transposable elements in the genome of marine microalgae and their involvement in the stress response of these organisms. Recently, we have been developing work focused on the long non-coding RNAs of microalgae derived from transposable elements. At the same time, we are collaborating with the Biochemistry and Biotechnology Laboratory of the Faculty of Sciences of Tunis on the study of transposable elements of crop pests in Tunisia and on the impact of these elements in pesticide resistance. To answer these questions, we use bioinformatics and molecular biology approaches.
